Dr. Taylor Feenstra, PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Taylor Feenstra is a passionate and driven physical therapist at CORE physical therapy. He earned his Doctorate of Physical therapy at Des Moines University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Exercise science from Wayne State College and a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Dordt university, where he was an accomplished varsity basketball player and NAIA Scholar Athlete. Taylor brings a wealth of experience from various clinical settings, including sports rehabilitation, orthopedic care, and post-surgical recovery. His work emphasizes patient education, empowering individuals by addressing the root causes of pain and mobility issues.

Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a USA Weightlifting Coach, Taylor has also excelled as a powerlifter, holding impressive personal bests in the bench press, squat, and deadlift. He actively competes in jiu-jitsu at both the national and international levels, showcasing his dedication to peak physical performance. 

Outside of his clinical work, Taylor has coached strength and conditioning at the collegiate level and served as a professor, educating future exercise science students. He integrates evidence-based techniques like dry needling, trigger point release, and other advanced modalities to help athletes and patients achieve their optimal functional outcomes. Taylor’s commitment to excellence in rehabilitation and sports performance makes him a trusted expert in his field.
