My Physician suggested physical therapy at another clinic, do I have to go where they tell me to go?
No. As the policy holder it is your personal choice of where to receive your physical therapy services. Your physician may have recommendations for you, and you should consider those options as well, but in the end, it is your choice to seek treatment from any physical therapist that you see fit.
As always, make sure you are comfortable with who is providing your healthcare as you have many options in the Omaha area. Make sure you have the best fit for you and your needs.
How much does my insurance cover for physical therapy services?
That all depends on your particular insurance, co-pays, in and out of network benefits, and deductibles on your policy. All insurances do cover physical therapy, but your policy is unique to you. As a courtesy to our patients, during you first visit, we call and verify benefits, deductibles and co pays, so that you know exactly what your coverages are.
At CORE Physical Therapy, we also offer cash pay options. For patients with high deductible insurance planes, this can often be the most economical way to access C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy.

Do I need a Physician referral to see a physical therapist?
Not necessarily. In Nebraska, we are considered a direct access state, meaning some insurances do not require a physical referral. If your particular insurance does require one, you can bring in a script with you to your first evaluation visit, or if you don’t have one, we can evaluate you and contact your physician for approval for you if you need any continued treatment.
All cash pay serviced options do not require a physician referral, though we can still delegate your records to that individual if you so choose.
