This video is a quick demonstration of needling to the quadratus lumborum musculature of the lumbar spine. This muscle can be problematic with lower back pain, SI pain, and radiating pain down the left or right sides of your leg mimicking sciatic pain. A quick needling release such as shown in this video above, can increase your recovery inefficiency from physical therapy. It will decrease pain 50% or more with just one visit and often takes the edge off to allow for more effective therapeutic exercises to be followed after trigger point needling.

Although I’m not always the most indicated intervention, when appropriate and necessary you can decrease pain very quickly and easily and efficiently. Dr. Claire and Doctor Mark have been performing this technique in their clinic for  six years, and combined with their 22 years of experience as rehab professionals and doctors of physical therapy that can help you with your low back pain.
