In this episode, Dr. Claire and Dr. Mark examine the ideology and mechanisms of injury of ACL tears in sports and active individuals. This is a two-part series and this initial episode covers what the ACL does, how it tears, what does it do for an athlete, who has the most ACL tears, and we examine noncontact versus Contact type mechanisms of injuries. We also examine the surgical implications of such and will address the rehab in a part 2.
