Dr. Claire Rathjen had the opportunity in the obligation to compete in the 2023 at Coan open invitational. This was not her first powerlifting competition, nor will be her last. She was able to take 2nd place in the competition in the women’s overall. We are very much impressed with her work ethic and her commitment to training, given her 70 to 80 hour work weeks and other hobbies that are time dependent. She is an inspiration to us all.
The Ed Coan classic is always held at Omaha barbell, and Omaha Nebraska. This is the forefront of Omaha powerlifting scene and gym. And Cohen is one of the premier power lifters from the 80s 90s and 2000s, has multiple world records, and has been in the powerlifting scene for more than 40 years. He’s a true icon to the sport and the leader of the transition of the new age of powerlifting. We are honored to attend and sponsor this event, for more than four years.
