Dr. Lukas Rathjen was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. He went on to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduate with a bachelor’s of science in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science in 2012. During his time there, he was an anatomy TA for four semesters, where he taught two labs per week to undergraduate students and gained a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. Lukas went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015. While there, he was involved with research aimed at activity modification, exercise prescription, and nutrition education targeted at online populations. Lukas also participated in teaching human anatomy to first year PA and PT students for one semester.

For 15 years, Lukas has been an avid golfer who played in high school for three out of four years. In addition to golfing, Lukas enjoys staying active by lifting weights, running, and hiking. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, home improvement projects, and watching Husker Football (Go Big Red). Lukas is married with one son, who takes up most of his free time. Lukas enjoys to travel, and spent the first two years out of school traveling and practicing physical therapy with his wife. He spent time in Dallas, multiple areas in California, and Maryland where he learned many different practice techniques applied throughout the country.
Lukas is the younger brother to Mark, and brother-in-law to Claire, and is excited to be working with his family at CORE Physical Therapy and Sports Performance PC.
